George Tomlinson, son of the late John and Margaret Thomlinson. Was Born in Mercer county Ohio October 4, 1858, departed this life July 8, 1936 at the age of 77 years 9 months and 4 days. He was united in marriage to Rebecca Everett September 18,1886. To this union was born 6 daughters and 3 sons. One son and one daughter having preceded him in death. Those left to mourn his loss are his widow, Two sons Dale at home and Cale of South Race Street. Five daughters Mrs. Thomas R. Emmans of South Shannon Street. Mrs. Clifford Beamer, Mrs. Don Black, Mrs. Charles I. Wade and Mrs. Francis Scott all of near Van Wert. 24 grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister Mrs. Agnes Archer of Mendon. He spent the greater part of his life near Elgin moving to Van Wert 26 years ago. His death will be greatly mourned by all who knew him.
