Garden City - Rachel Galliart, 70, died Tuesday at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City, after a long illiness. Born Rachel Heinitz July 5, 1991, at Russell County, she was married to Frederick Galliart Nov. 18, 1930, at Russell. He died Dec. 18, 1966. She had been a resident of Garden City for 50 years.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church, Moose Auxiliary, both of Garden City.

Survivors: sons, Wilber, Richard, both of Garden City; daughters, Wilma Key, Mary Ann Ricketts, both of Sublette; Lorene Quint, Shirley Nuzum, both of Garden City; brothers, Herman Heinitz, Garden City; Bill Heinitz, Leoti; sisters, Bertha Nuse, Conway Springs; Lydia Birzer, Dodge City; Alma Lais, Marion; Leah Smith, Seattle; 24 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Phillips-White Funeral Home, Garden City; the Rev. Merlin Reith. Burial at the Valley View Cemetery, Garden City. Friends may call until service time at the funeral home.
