Linda Mary Fink Atkinson, 67, of Charlotte, N.C., passed away Wednesday, Sept 3, at The Brian Center Health and Rehab.
Linda was born March 10, 1941, in Fond du Lac, Wis., the daughter of Lester and Rosalie Fink, Lomira, Wis. She also lived in Prescott and Lake Havasu City, Ariz., before moving to Charlotte, N.C. in 1993.
Linda was employed for several years at group homes taking care of persons with brain damage and autism. She was a loving and compassionate care taker.
Survivors include her sisters, Katie Fink Flynn of Charlotte, N.C., and Suzanne Fink, Dingman of Scottsdale, Ariz; a brother, Daniel Fink; and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Fink of Lomira, Wis., and Liz Gwinn of Marrero, La.; as well as many nieces, nephews, and many other relatives. She was the former wife of Earl Atkinson, Kingman, Ariz.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Richard Fink; and husband, Stan Feuerstein; and niece, Karen Heinstra.
Services: A memorial mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept 10, at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Charlotte, N.C., with the Father Rick DeClue officiating.
Visitation: The family will receive friends following the service in the Church Activity Center. Interment will be private. Florists may deliver flowers in the church between the hours of 9 and 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Linda's family express their gratitude to all friends and family, to the staff at the Brian Center, the wonderful staff at Charlotte Hospice and Palliative Care, and the Friends of Bill, and the ministry of St. John Neumann Parish, who were so kind and gracious to our sister.
