DeLilles I. (Kozlowski) Grimm, age 96, a lifelong resident of Two Rivers, died late Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Dee was born in Two Rivers on Sept. 20, 1918, a daughter of the late Elmer and Margaret (Brunner) Allie. She attended St. Luke's Catholic Grade School and Washington High School, graduating with the class of 1936. She then furthered her education, earning a degree from the Milwaukee Badger Beauty Academy. On July 30, 1938, she married Martin V. Kozlowski at St. Luke's Catholic Church. He preceded her in death October 6, 1961. She later married Alfred Grimm, June 22, 1973, who also preceded her in death on January 14, 1996.

Dee's deep faith in God was always first in her life. She had a kind and gentle spirit and always saw the good in others. She was a Religious Education teacher and coordinator, and a member of the Resurrection Choir and the Ladies Society of St. Luke's Parish. Dee loved beautiful thoughts and words and was an avid reader and writer. She took great pleasure in the art of painting, singing, dancing and music. She played saxophone in the high school band, receiving first place in the State Class A competition; she was also a longtime Cub Scout and Girl Scout Leader. Dee was of French Canadian heritage and was a proud member of the French Canadians and Friends Organization and a volunteer at Rogers Street Fishing Village. In addition to raising her eight children, she also held several part-time jobs over the years. Being a nature lover, she enjoyed walking through the woods and on the beach.

Survivors include seven children: Paul (Luanne) Kozlowski of Sturgeon Bay, Karen (Robert) Peterson, Janice VanDrisse, Judy (Lee) Stefaniak, Marty (Sandy) Kozlowski, Therese Dodge & friend, Don Rivest, MaryJo (Ron) Strong, and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Kozlowski, all of Two Rivers; two step-daughters, Carol (John) Pietroske and Betty (Joe) Hoffman; 28 grandchildren which include, Jim Schmidt, John (Adrienne) Schmidt, Kevin (Catherine) Kozlowski, Michael Kozlowski, Steve (Debbie) Kozlowski, Sarah (Keith) Coenen, Paula (Brian) Schoeffel, Chris (Melissa) Kozlowski, Brenda (Dan) Dvorak, Jill (Harley) Groelle, Robert (Johanna) Peterson, Tracy (Gene) Stargardt, Dave (Sue) VanDrisse, Marty (Tracy) VanDrisse, Matthew (Ashley) VanDrisse, Dean VanDrisse (special friend, Regina), Daniel VanDrisse, Lisa Stefaniak, Jon (Linda) Stefaniak, Carrie (Wade) Tate, Jennifer (Frank) Zuehlke, Becky (Joe) Connolly, Kim (Tad) Stern, Eric (Melanie) Kozlowski, Ryan (Beth) Dodge, Jason Rivest, Kristen (Nic) Bornemann, and Matthew Strong; 33 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: John E. Goedjen, Robert Weiss, Patricia Allie, and Mary (Mel) Erickson; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by one son, Dale Kozlowski; a son-in-law, Thomas R. Dodge; seven sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd. Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Tuesday morning from 9:00 until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Monday evening visitation.

Memorials may be made to Rogers Street Fishing Village.
