Elizabeth "Bettye" Kraftcheck, age 80, of 2602 Forest Ave., Two Rivers, died Thursday morning, Jan. 20, 2005 at the Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 24, 2005 at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Bettye was born Nov. 26, 1924 in Two Rivers, a daughter of the late John P. and Mabel (Hickox) Bonk. She attended Two Rivers schools, graduating from Two Rivers Washington High School. Bettye married Donald E. Kraftcheck in 1945, and he
preceded her in death in June 1965. Over the years, she was employed with various manufacturing companies in Two Rivers. She was a member of the Two Rivers Senior Center and enjoyed doing craft work, embroidery, sewing, reading and taking bus trips.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Leigh and Bernice Kraftcheck, Round Lake, Ill.; Steve and Debbie Kraftcheck, Arden, N.C.; three grandsons: Jason Kraftcheck, Aaron (Sharon) Kraftcheck, and Nathan (Jenny) Kraftcheck; two step-granddaughters: Charity (Robert) DePremio and Danielle Haese; and seven great-grandchildren. She is further survived by three sisters and four brothers-in-law: Shirley and Donald Brault, Mount Horeb; Franny and Fritz Puls, Carol and Roger Puls, all of Two Rivers; Leonard Rybarczyk, Danville, Ill.; one sister-in-law: Joyce Bonk, Michigan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald; two sisters: Mildred Gajdys Grecco and Nance Rybarczyk; and four brothers: George, Jimmy, Richard and Wallace Bonk.

Relatives and friends may call at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, after 9 a.m. Monday until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be no Sunday evening visitation.
