Edwin A. Krizizke, age 94, of 2312 43rd St., Two Rivers, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 31, 2006, at the Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers, after a brief illness.

Edwin was born in Two Creeks on Jan. 27, 1912, a son of the late John and Josephine (Mrotek) Krizizke, and attended the Twin Elder School in Two Creeks. On Oct. 1, 1938, he married the former Eunice Tomcheck at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers.

She preceded him in death on June 9, 1981. Edwin was employed with Mirro Aluminum Company for over 40 years, retiring in 1977. He was a longtime member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, now St. Peter the Fisherman; Knights of Columbus Council 1957 of Two Rivers; Silver K Kiwanis Club; and the Two Rivers Senior Center. Ed enjoyed gardening, card playing, polka dancing, woodworking, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Marilyn and Lawrence Lenhardt of Sheboygan; his special friend: Sophie Peroutka of Two Rivers; three grandchildren: Terry (Lezlee) Kocian; Kimberly (Chuck) Schur; and Wendy (Travis) Gensch; three great-grandchildren: Addison Gensch; Carson Schur, and Tyler James Schur; and one brother and sister-in-law: Florian and LaVern Krzizike of Two Creeks. He is further survived by the family of his friend, Sophie: Joe and Janet Peroutka, Francis Creek; Bob and Marie Schultz, Manitowoc Rapids; her grandchildren: Joe and Chris Kuber; Donald Theroux, and his daughter: Kathryn; Shelly Theroux, Jimmy Theroux, Scott Theroux, Todd Theroux, Graig and Susan VanEss, and their children: Joshua, Vanessa, and Savannah, Mark and JoAnn Peroutka, and their children: Joseph, Christopher, and Eric; Jesse and Lori Mattias, and their children: Joseph and Elizabeth, Douglas and Brenda Schultz, and Michelle Schultz; two sisters-in-law: Jean (Warren) Frasch, and Rose Tomcheck, all of Two Rivers; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by an infant son; a daughter: Janice Kocian; an infant granddaughter: Jackie; and Sophie's daughter: Grace.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William G. O'Brien, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Friends may call at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. Friday evening. A parish prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. led by Father Bill.
Visitation will continue after 9 a.m. Saturday morning at the funeral home, until leaving for the church at 9:45 a.m.
