ELPHEGE KUENZEL
Elphege (Al) Kuenzel, 71, of 1518-22nd St., Two Rivers, died Saturday, Jan. 5, at Two Rivers Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. Donald Marquardt will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mr. Kuenzel was born April 19, 1908, at Nadeau, Mich., son of the late Louis and Sarah Rouse Kuenzel. He married Theresa Karbowski Sept. 23, 1935, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Mr. Kuenzel was a retired grocery store operator and self employed appliance repairman. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and Eagles Club of Two Rivers.
Survivors include his wife, four daughters, Mrs. Laten (Barbara) Davis of Clyo, Ga., Mrs. Ronald (Patricia) Babler of Route 1, Cato, Mrs. August (Alice) Haen Jr. of Route 2, Two Rivers,and Mrs. Charles (Kathleen) Bornemann of Green Bay; three sisters, Mrs. Kathryn Wernecke nee (sic) of Manitowoc and Mrs. Bernard (Cele) Rhode and Mrs. Ray Eleanor) Gilbert Sr., and 15 grandchildren.
Three brothers, a sister, a grandchild and a great grandchild preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, after 5 p.m. Tuesday, where a Knights of Columbus and parish memorial service will be at 7:30 p.m.
