Married, (Nov.13,1800 Nelson Co., KY), Nancy Stephens, by whom he had at least 6 children:
Dr.Richard Stephens Dorsey, (abt.1803-1845), of Perryville, MO and Yazoo City, MS, md 1st Loucey Burns; 2nd Mary Doyle; and third Margaret Thompson.
Jefferson Dorsey [who lived in Louisiana]
Elizabeth Eleanor Dorsey, (1809-1838), who married William Green Sterett and lived in Hawesville, KY
Dr.Washington D. Dorsey, (1811-1845), of Yazoo City MS., who Nancy Bass Stone.
Charles Dorsey
Sarah A Dorsey, (abt 1816-1862), who married Quesney Dibrell Gibbs and lived in Yazoo Co., MS
Died at the home of his son-in-law William Green Sterett, in Hawesville, (some say home of his daughter Elizabeth (Dorsey) Sterett, but she seems to have died before him.)
He's buried in Hawesville, and his son-in-law and at least 2 granddaughters are in this cemetery, so I presume at this location. Gravestone read "Died Oct.27, 1843", but this was reported on by sources dating back at least 50 or 60 years. So I don't know the current condition of his marker.
