Mr. Herbert Ezra Smith, 77, died Thursday. Hr was a veteran of the Korean War where he received a Purple Heart. He was a retired truck driver for the US Postal Service. Survivors: wife, Joanna Browne Smith; son, Jeffery (Beth) Smith; daughter, Elaine (Rennie) Funderburk, step-son, Michael Eric Williams, of Los Angeles, CA and other relatives. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral: 3 p.m., Sunday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
