Laura E. Waid was born March 24, 1872, in Kansas City, KS. Her parents moved several years ago to Marion County, where they have since resided. She was united in marriage to Henry Judah of Carlton, KS., September 1, 1897, and soon after they went to their new home in Argentine, KS, where Mr. Judah was employed by the Santa Fe Company. For two years past, Mrs. Judah has suffered from that dread disease, consumption, and finally on January 23, 1901, she succumbed to its ravages. She was laid to rest by the side of her mother in the Marion Cemetery January 26, 1901. A husband, father, three sisters, four brothers and a host of friends, mourn and her departure.
