Albert Larson Skelly
Albert Larson Skelly, age 87, of Erie, passed away on September 21, 2007, at Presque Isle Rehabilitation and Nursing Center where he resided for over three years.
Albert was born on February 25, 1920 in McKean Township, a son of the late Kenneth and Jenny Larson Skelly.
Albert retired from General Electric with over 37 years of service. He was a Lifetime member of the Siebenbuerger Club. Horseshoes, bowling and bingo were a few of the things he enjoyed.
He was a WWII veteran and was a recipient of two Bronze Stars.
He was preceded in death not only by his parents, but also two sons, Steven K. and Frederick L. Skelly; a brother Alvin L. Skelly; a sister, Alice L. Skelly Kent; and a long time friend, Isabelle Kern.
Albert is survived by four daughters, Patricia Piglowski of Erie, Karen Skelly of Connecticut, Linda Belotlieff of Erie and Lois Gariepy (Charles) of Wesleyville; five sons, James Skelly of Millcreek, Patrick Skelly of North East, Roy Skelly of Delaware, Michael Skelly (Valerie) of Erie and Anthony Skelly (Susan) of Millcreek; daughter-in-law, Sandra Skelly of Harborcreek; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East, 2607 Buffalo Road on Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a Funeral Service there on Monday at 11 a.m.
Interment, Lakeside Cemetery.
