Contributor Bruce Miller has suggested the following: His wife was Sarah Reitz according to their son, Henry's death report in church records at Ancestry. His mother was Susanna Stephen.

Suggested edit: Reverend B.J. Schmoyer, and Reverend Solomon Neitz were first Cousins, both of Evangelical Lutheran Church with many books and sermons of the two men at Seminary in Myerstown PA. Rev Scmoyer set up the Seminary there.
Rev. Benjamin John Schmoyer, buried in Millersburg PA.
Contributor: dkpeiffer (50907947)

Suggested edit: Wife was Susanna Neitz.
They were the parents of Reverend B J Smoyer, Presiding Elder of Evangelical Church.
John Schmoyer is my 4th great grandfather and in looking fr the cemetery information, I did not find the marker. I am still searching. There was a record stating their marriage and there is little paper trail for him. But a lot for his son. Documented in DAR registry.
