She was the daughter of Vera Avery of Canmer and the late Clarence Avery. Mrs. Sanders was a former employee of Techno Trim of Glasgow and was a member of the Whickerville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Sanders of Cave City; a daughter: Amanda Shirley and husband Jason of Cave City; two granddaughters: Madison and Megan Shirley, both of Cave City; one grandson: Daniel Shirley of Cave City; five brothers: Leslie Avery, Danny Avery and wife Linda, and George Avery and wife Tammy, all of Canmer, Ronnie Avery and wife Vanessa of Magnolia, and Delbert Avery and wife Tracy of Munfordville; seven sisters: Fannie Asbury and husband Lendon of Hardyville, Joy Priddy of Bonnieville, Shirley Stinson and husband Charles of Upton, Margie Jones of Munfordville, Fay Ramsey of Magnolia, Barbara Pitcock and husband Ron of Louisville, and Glenda Penick and husband Troy of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary and Marcella Avery; and a brother, Timmy Avery.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, Horse Cave, with burial in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
