Winslow Raymond Brock, 95, of Pleasant Grove, Arkansas died Sunday, July 6, 2014, in Athens, Alabama.

Born June 20, 1919 in Pikeville, Tennessee, he was the son of Fred Thomas Brock and Dalila Jane Austin Brock.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U S Army in the South Pacific as a gunner and enjoyed reminiscing about his experiences during the war. He loved his family, loved to sing, never met a stranger, and was a practical joker. He enjoyed digging for ginseng. He retired as a machinist and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include three sons, Ronald Davidson of Elkmont, Alabama, Raymond Davidson of Mountain View, Arkansas and Roger Davidson of Cherry Valley, Arkansas; four daughters, Peggy Parker of Tennessee, Joyce Martin of Heth, Arkansas, Jannett Martin of Munford, Tennessee and Earlene Hodges of Pleasant Grove; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; three sisters; and one grandchild, David Wolverton.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Dugan Pentecostal Church at Pleasant Grove with Jerry Parker officiating.

Burial will be at Mount Joy Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

Pallbearers will be Walter Martin, Brent Martin, Mark Barnes, Tony Halfacre, Ronald Davidson and Barry Reder.

An honorary pallbearer is Greg Martin.

Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Batesville.
