He was a member of Christ Reformed Church and the Antietam Fire Company. He had been employed for 35 years at the Maryland Ribbon Company, retiring in 1969.
He is survived by his wife, Rebekah Grove Wagner; one daughter, Mrs. Harry Dischert, Miami, Fl.; two sons, Max E. Wagner, Miami, Fl., and Richard K. Wagner, Hagerstown; one step-daughter, Miss Patricia Reid, Funkstown; brother, John E. Wagner, Funkstown; sisters, Mrs. Alice Burke, Hagerstown, and Mrs. Edith Trumpower, St. Augustine, Fl.; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the Minnich Funeral Home; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
