Betty Lou Voth, 86, a resident of Benedict, Kansas, formerly of Dighton, Kansas and Larned, Kansas, died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Deseret Health and Rehabilitation Center in Yates Center, Kansas. She was born April 13, 1928 in Pawnee County, Kansas, the daughter of Claude and Grace (Artzberger) Davis. Betty received a bachelor's degree from Fort Hays State University. She was a teacher in Scott County 1949-1958. She retired from Larned State Hospital in 1990 as a LMHG2.

On May 11, 1952 in Larned, Betty was united in marriage to Martin Voth. He preceded her in death.

Betty was a member of the Baptist Church in Scott City. She was active in the E.H.U. in Larned, the Conklin Cubs 4-H Club and the Best of the West Card Club.

Her survivors include:
Two sons:
Michael Voth of Kansas City, KS
Mark (Renee) Voth of Chanute, KS

One daughter:
Karen Voth and companion Benjamin Petterson of Benedict, KS

Six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren

Her parents and two children, Jana Voth and Justin Voth, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Timmons Chapel with Rev. Gene Benefiel of the Buxton Christian Church officiating. Burial will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. in the Larned Cemetery with Pastor Richard Langness of the Grace Lutheran Church officiating. A memorial has been established in Betty's name with the Alzheimer's Association and contributions can be sent to or left with Timmons Funeral Home.
