NOTES:
Death date on the newly engraved stone is INCORRECT. Two different obituaries show 1916. And one shows she was 76 years old when she died. So according to her birth date plus 76 her death would have been in 1916 like obituaries both are dated.
Her husband's obituary shows her maiden name as 'Kloko' and her mothers obituary shows her maiden name as 'Kloke'.

AUGUSTA STEGEMAN

After two weeks illness, Mrs. Carl Stegeman passed away at the home on
the Southside Wednesday morning. Deceased was born in
Rosborg-Kachenbergen, Pommern, Germany in 1840. She came to America with
her husband in 1881 and after residing at Manitowoc three years, the
family moved to this city and have since made their home here.
Mrs.Stegeman is survived by her husband, Herman; a son, Robert and four
daughters, Mrs. Rath, Mrs. E. Frenz, Mary and Anna of this city and Mrs.
Engrish of Manitowoc. The funeral takes place Saturday afternoon from
St. John's Lutheran Church of which the deceased was a devoted and
faithful member.

Notes from Two Rivers:
Mrs. Auguste Stegeman, wife of Carl Stegemann, died on Wednesday from apoplexy.
She was born in Germany in 1840. There she entered into wedlock with Carl Stegemann. The family came to this country in 1885. Having lived in Manitowoc for three years, they located at Two Rivers in 1888. Mrs. Stegemann is survived by her aged husband, two sons, Herman and Robert and five daughters, Mrs. J. Ingrish of Manitowoc, Mrs. Ida Frenz and Mrs. Emma Rath, both of this city and the misses Mary and Anna Stegemann.
Deceased was 76 years of age. She was buried from St. John’s
church on Saturday afternoon.
