Kaukauna Woman Dies at Appleton After Illness of Many Years

Kaukauna—Mrs. Edward Kaphingst, 42, died after a lingering illness at Appleton at 9:05 Monday evening. She was ailing for the last 20 years and became seriously ill about a month ago.

She was born in Kaukauna and had lived there her entire life. She was a member of the Ladies Aid society of the Lutheran church. She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Doris; one son, Edward Jr.; four brothers, William Carnot and August Carnot of Kaukauna, Conrad Carnot of Manitowoc, and Morris Carnot of Chicago; four sisters, Mrs. B. Schroeder of Fond du Lac, Mrs. J. V. Herman of Oshkosh; Miss Pauline Carnot and Mrs. Otto Schubring of Kaukauna.

Funeral services probably will be held at 1:30 Thursday afternoon from the home at 425 Park-st and at two o'clock from the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church. The Rev. P. Oehlert will be in charge of the services and burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery.
