"Helen S. Wood, 82, of Barberton, passed away August 26, 2013. Helen was born in Akron on October 6, 1930 to the late John and Helen Lamn. She was a member of the Lords House of Prayer Assembly and was an avid Polka dancer and gardener. Helen is survived by her husband of 58 years, Clark Wood; niece... nephews... several great-nieces, nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Schermesser Funeral Home, 600 E. Turkeyfoot Lake Rd., Akron, OH 44319 (SR 619), with Pastor Harvey Greathouse officiating. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at East Liberty Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Helen's name to the Lords House of Prayer Assembly, 6105 Manchester Road, Akron, Ohio 44319."
