CHATSWORTH The funeral of Albert Edward Honegger, 72, of Chatsworth will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Chatsworth. The Rev. Steve Kettlekamp will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury, with graveside military rites accorded by American Legion Post 613, Chatsworth. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, and for one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
He died at 7:34 a.m. Wednesday (July 14, 1999) at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Memorials made to United Methodist Church in Chatsworth or Chatsworth Township Library.
Mr. Honegger was born Aug. 12, 1926, in Fairbury, the son of Fred Albert and Lena Nussbaum Honeg-ger. He married Janet A. Weihermiller on June 19, 1948, in Chatsworth. She survives. His parents preceded him in death.
Mr. Honegger had been employed as a tool and die manufacturer at Nichols Home-Shield, Chatsworth, for 35 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of American Legion Post 613, Chatsworth, having served as past commander. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving from Sept. 13, 1944, to Aug. 1, 1946, as a seaman 1st class. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Chatsworth.
