She was born December 31, 1943 in Franklin County to the late William and Nellie (Casto) Boysel. Funny, yet feisty at times, she lived a simple life. Ellen enjoyed watching over her flowers and spending time with her family including her dialysis family.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 43 years James Johnson; sons Scott (Tara) Henderson of Marion, Stacy Henderson of Lewis Center and James (Janelle) Johnson Jr. of Delaware; daughters Aleshia (Tom) Weisend of Westerville, Ginger (Tim) King of Sunbury, Amy (Ken) Wallace of Galena and Jodie (Joey) Rawlins of Ashley; fifteen grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; brothers Fred (Phyllis) Boysel of Columbus and Gene (Jean) Boysel of Tennessee; sisters Doris (Phil) Puckett and Diane (Roger) Gilbert of Columbus and Janet Boysel of Gallipolis; sister-in-law Mary Jane Boysel of Columbus; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emily Johnson and a brother, Jimmy Boysel.
The family will receive friends on Thursday July 10th from 5 – 8 p.m. at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street at Valleyside Drive, Delaware and where funeral services will be held on Friday July 11th at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Scott Tiede officiating. Burial will follow in Africa Cemetery.
