Gary D. Kubichka, age 63, a Manitowoc resident, died Tuesday morning, July 8, 2014 at his residence.
He was born on March 24, 1951 in Manitowoc, son of Grace (Shimon) Kubichka and the late Anton Kubichka Jr. Gary was a 1965 graduate of St. Paul Elementary Grade School and a 1969 graduate of Roncalli High School. He was employed as an engineer at Kohler Company for over 35 years. Gary enjoyed watching Nascar and golf and spending time at his cottage in Spring Lake.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Aaron & Mindy Kubichka, Juda, WI; a daughter: Pam Kubichka, Brookfield; his mother: Grace Kubichka, Manitowoc; a granddaughter: Amelia Kubichka; two sisters and one brother: Sharon Dunbar & her husband, Ron, Appleton, Dennis Kubichka & his wife Hazel, Manitowoc, Marleen Herro & her husband, Christopher, Georgia; and the mother of his children: Kathy (Mark) Mickelson, Sheboygan. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his father: Anton Kubichka Jr.; maternal grandparents: Matt & Viola Shimon and his paternal grandparents: Anton Sr. & Clara Kubichka.
Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2014 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the memorial service will be the Rev. Dave Pleier. Gary will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2014 until 3:45 p.m.
