Mrs. Jennie Miller, 86, of Rt.3 Waxhaw died Monday evening in Providence Nursing Home.
Services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Weddington United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Derrell L. Parris, the Rev. Bill Miller and the Rev. Floyd Wood. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Miller was born Jan. 28, 1889, in Mecklenburg County, daughter of John and Sarah Williams Gordon. Her husband, Hugh L. Miller, died in 1934.
Survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. Rubye Haywood, Mrs. Georgie Baker, both of Durham, Mrs. Frank McCorkle of Waxhaw; one son, Hugh Miller of Waxhaw; 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; also one brother, Jule Gordon of Waxhaw.
Grandsons will be pallbearers: Hazel Baker, Biven Baker, Lawson Baker, Eddie Haywood, Larry McCorkle and Ronnie Miller.
The body will be at the McEwen Funeral Home, Monroe, and will lie in state for 30 minutes at the church.
The family will be at McEwen's tonight from 7 to 9.

Married 2nd husband after death of Hugh Miller Sr. (2) George L. McManus. but were married only a short period of time. She did not carry the McManus name. George L. McManus was the brother of my paternal grandmother, Minnie Robena McManus (McCorkle-Byrum).
