Son of Elijah Lingston Allen and Ellen A Townsend Allen.
He first married Rosa Bluejacket.
He married second Mary Lunella Lynn.
He was the father of 12 children. Four with Rosa and eight with Nella.
He attended school at Spring Creek and Cave Springs both in Benton County, AR.
He owned a wheat farm in the Prairie Chapel Community near Vinita, I.T.
He was an outstanding brick layer. Many buildings in Northeast OK and Northwest AR were built by him.
Bob, Nella and their children moved to Cave Springs in 1913, the town he had left as a young man. They moved to Springdale in 1936.
He was a Baptist by church affiliation and a Republican in politics.
He was buried in Cave Springs Cemetery with Odd Fellow rites.
