Callie Lea Blackburn, 69, of Lowell died April 27, 1997, at Northwest
Medical Center in Springdale. She was born Aug. 22, 1927, at Kingston to
Eula and Delia Griggs Smith. Before retirement she was a custodian for Jones
Truck Lines and Beverly Manor. She was a member of the Church of Christ in
Cave Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert (Buster)
Blackburn.

Survivors include one brother, Waymon Smith of Springdale; five sisters,
Charlene Peoples of Winslow, LaFern Tunnell and Gertie Tice, both of
Springdale, Christine Parish of Lowell and Leona Purdun of Albany, Ga.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Cave Springs Cemetery with
Jim Hale officiating. Arrangements are by Sisco Chapel of Springdale.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Southern Christian Home at Morrilton.
