WENZEL PARMA

In ill health for the past year and a half, Wenzel J. (Jim) Parma, 73, an overseas veteran of World War I, died Saturday night at Two Rivers Hospital. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, and at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, the Rev. H.J. Schmitz officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mr. Parma was born Oct. 15, 1889, in the Town of Carlton, Kewaunee County, son of the late Joseph and Anna Sladky Parma. He attended the district school at Carlton Township, and when young man moved to Two Rivers where, he became employed at the old Two Rivers Mercantile Co. department store. Later, he became a carpet and linoleum installer for C.J. Jansky Furniture Co., Two Rivers, and Vogelsang Furniture Co., at Manitowoc. For 19 years up to his retirement in 1956, he was employed at Schwartz Mfg. Co., Two Rivers. Mr. Parma served in the U.S. Army in France in World War I. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Luke Church and the Two Rivers Council No. 1957, Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are his wife, the former Marie Moshkosh, of the Town of Two Rivers, whom he married at St. Luke Church June 24, 1922; a brother, William, of Kewauneee; and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Friends may call at the funeral chapels where the Rosary for the Knights of Columbus and Holy Name Society will be recited at 7:30 o'clock this Monday evening and the Rosary for the family at 8 o'clock.
