William J. Anselmi, 90, Cornwall, died Friday, February 3, 2006, in his residence. He was the husband of Doris G. Achenbach Anselmi. He was born in Superior, WY, on May 14, 1915, son of the late John and Florence Zuich Anselmi. He was raised in Wyoming, Luzerne County, Pa. He retired in 1975 after 35 years service with the rank of captain and as director of Information Systems Division, Hershey, Pennsylvania State Police. He enlisted in the PSP in 1940 and served stations in Bedford, Reading, Lebanon, Jonestown and Harrisburg with duties including patrol, criminal investigation and staff inspection. He received his lieutenant commission in 1969 and served briefly as commander of Division 1, Troop T later reassigned to Departmental Headquarters, Harrisburg, as commander of Telecommunications. In 1972 he was promoted to captain and named director of Information Systems Division being responsible for CLEAN and Departmental Management Information Systems. After retiring, he worked 17 years for Fairview Golf Course. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Cornwall, FOP, State Troopers Association and Quentin Riding Club. He was a former member of the Elks. In addition to his wife he is survived by daughters Cynthia, wife of Mark VanZandt, Hummelstown, Emily Anselmi, Centre Hall; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Victor, Orlando, Rudolph Anselmi and sister Freida Tomich. Memorial Mass of Christian burial Wednesday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Cornwall. Interment in Mt.
