HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mr. Carl Terril Anderson Sr., 63, of Seldon Drive entered into rest Sunday, January 19, 2003, at the Medical College Of Georgia Hospital. Mr. Anderson is a native of Richmond County, and has resided in Burke County for the last 25 years, he retired from the Burke County Board Of Education were he served many years as a mechanic for the bus shop. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by his parents Mr. John Willis Anderson Sr. and Mrs. Mary B. Anderson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2003, at 11 a.m. at the DeLoach-Kennedy Funeral Home Chapel in Hephzibah, with Rev. Mike Andrews officiating. Interment will follow at Hopeful Baptist Church Cemetery on Winter Road in Burke County. Survivors include his wife Honour Peggy Anderson, Hephzibah; two daughters Carol Blackstone, Hephzibah, Mary Ann Spears, Augusta; one son Carl T. Anderson Jr., Hephzibah; two sisters Edith L. Johnson, Hephzibah, Mary Wimberly, Augusta; two brothers Arthur Wayne Anderson, Augusta, John Willis Anderson Jr., Augusta; five grandchildren; one great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends today, January 21, 2003 ,from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David "Gearld" Hutto, David Lee Anderson Jr., Reese Gaiser, Gary Rachels, Kenneth Kight and Nick Sanders. Honorary pallbearers will be John Ed Johnson III and Willie Spears.
