Mrs. Clara Phalen, 96, of Crandon, a former Two Rivers resident, died Sunday at a Crandon Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Crandon. The Rev. T. Jacobs will officiate with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mrs. Phalen, nee Clara Frappier, was born March 27, 1878, at Negaunee, Mich., daughter of the late Peter and Emiline Roberts Frappier. She was married to Richard Phalen June 7, 1895, in Michigan and came to Two Rivers in 1923. Her husband preceded her in death in October of 1942. Mrs. Phalen moved to Crandon in 1950.
Survivors include four sons, Roland, of Two Rivers, Charles, Patrick and Miles, of Crandon; a daughter, Mrs. Lou (Hazel) Samms, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; 42 grandchildren; 101 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Five sons, five daughters and five sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Halverson Funeral Home, Crandon, after 4 o’clock this Monday afternoon.
