Ruby moved to Muleshoe, Texas from Clyde in 1948. She was an elementary school teacher for Muleshoe ISD from 1948 until 1987, and was a member of the Muleshoe Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; her parents, and three brothers.
Survivors include two sons, David Lambert of Round Rock, Texas and Jim Lambert of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Bernice Tucker of Abilene, Texas and Bonnie Wood of Stephenville, Texas; two grandsons, Eric and Joseph Lambert and two great-grandsons.
