Halverson
Vernon L. Halverson, 60, of 3422 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, died Monday at Home [sic] of a coronary condition.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Donald Stannard will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.

Mr. Halverson was born Feb. 3, 1906, at Little Suamico, son the late Herman Halverson and Mrs. Myrtle Klewley Halverson. He was a roadmaster for the Chicago and North Western Railroad 38 years. He was graduated in 1925 from Shawano High School. He is a member of the Francis Creek Sportsmen Club, Brotherhood of Railway Clerks, on the board of directors of the Manitowoc Employes [sic] Credit Union and presently secretary and assistant treasurer. He had been treasurer of the union 20 years. He married Vivian Panzram May 17, 1929, and she survives with a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Nancy) Reel, of Francis Creek, his mother of Shawano, a brother, Merlin, of Milwaukee, two sisters, Mrs. Leafy Beyer, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Norman Cox, of Shawano, and three grandsons.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral services for Vernon L. Halverson, 60, of 3422 Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, who died Monday, were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Donald Stannard officiated and burial was in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth. Mr. Halverson was a roadmaster clerk for the Chicago and North Western Railroad.

Pallbearers were Paul Erdmann, Elmer Gaas, Frank Hajek, Harry Schipper, Herbert Krause and William Pagel.
