BEAVER DAM/LANCASTER, CALIFORNIA — William F. LaBounty, age 69, passed away on May 1, 2000, at a hospital near Glendale, California, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bill grew up in Beaver Dam, a 1950 graduate of Beaver Dam High. He served in the United States Air Force at bases around the world, retiring in Lancaster, California, where he then worked at Rockwell on building of the space shuttle. He is survived by his loving wife, Wilma; two children, Paul LaBounty and Rachel McDonald; and a 6-year-old grandson, Clint McDonald, all of Poulsbo, Washington; two brothers, Thomas (Rosemary) of Madison, and James (Nancy) of Glendale, Arizona; a sister, Peggy (Joseph) Tosti, of Rome, New York; many nieces and nephews; and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick in 1966, and Eva in 1989; and his brother, Richard of Tucson, Arizona, in 1984. Catholic funeral and military burial will be held in Lancaster, California, on Friday, May 5, 2000, at JOSHUA MEMORIAL PARK.
