FERN A. ROCHELEAU

Fern A. Rocheleau, age 90, formerly of 2401 Polk St., Two Rivers, currently residing at Harmony of Two Rivers, died peacefully, Friday afternoon, Dec. 19, 2003, at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003 at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, St. Luke Site, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William G. O'Brien, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Fern was born June 14, 1913 in Oconto, Wis., the daughter of the late Frank J. and Mary Jane Carriveau Bebeau. As a young child, Fern moved to Two Rivers with her family, where she attended St. Luke Parochial School, and Two Rivers Washington High School, graduating with the class of 1931. On Feb. 3, 1934, she married Clayton Rocheleau in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death Feb. 11, 1995. Fern worked as a nursing assistant for many years at the Hamilton Memorial Home, retiring June 30, 1977. She was a longtime member of St. Luke Parish, and the Ladies of St. Luke's, as well as the Two Rivers Senior Center. She enjoyed playing bingo, but above all enjoyed the time spent with her family.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Darlene and Eugene Lorge, Manitowoc, and Marnee Kummerow, Two Rivers; seven grandchildren, Brian (Debbie) Lorge, Dr. Kevin (Angela) Kummerow, Cheryl (Steve) Carmody, Jeff (Rene) Kummerow, Diane (Joseph) Friday, Lauri (Shoichi) Ito, and Mary (Eben) Johnson; 14 great grandchildren, Kati and Patrick Lorge, Shannon, David, Joshua and Zachary Kummerow, Michael Vreeke, Paul Friday, Mari, Shanika, Keili and Nowa Ito, and Abigail and Emily Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton, son-in-law, Paul Kummerow; one great grandson, Kenni; and a brother, Floyd Bebeau.

Friends may call at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish -St. Luke Site, Two Rivers after 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, until the time of mass at 11 a.m. There will be no visitation this evening.

Fern's family extends a special Thank You to the special angel, and the entire nursing staff of 3 east at Aurora Medical Center, and to Dr. Thayer for the wonderful care and compassion given to Fern.
