Funeral Services for Bill Adrian Beard Jr., 47, of Memphis, TN, will be held at Philips & Lucky Funeral Home, 588 North Main Street in Giddings, on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. with Paul Tanner officiating. Burial will follow at the Salty Cemetery near Rockdale, TX. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Bill Adrian Beard Jr. was born April 18, 1967 in Houston, Texas to Bill Adrian Beard, Sr. and Nancy Lee (Beard) Bradshaw. His father was one of the best plumbers in the business and taught Bill the trade at an early age. Bill later became a master plumber. Bill excelled at his job and was well known by all in the industry for his knowledge, skills and his remarkable abilities. Bill married Cheryl Manns on May 18, 1997 and became a step father to Chris Manns. Bill and Cheryl had 3 children together and later divorced. Bill was a loving father, a proud grandfather, a devoted son, a brother and most of all, he was a friend to all. Bill traveled the country and called many places home. He lived in Memphis, TN for the past 6 years and had also lived in Giddings and Houston, Texas as well as California, Colorado, Florida and many other states as the Lord guided him. Bill attended many churches, he believed in God and spread God's word to all he could during his travels. He was a blessing to all and will be missed more than words can impart to their reader.
Bill passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in Memphis, TN under the loving care of his mother while at Methodist Hospice.
His is preceded in death by his father Bill Adrian Beard, Sr.
Bill is survived by his mother and step father Nancy and Johnny Bradshaw of Giddings; four children, Austin Beard of Oxford, MS, Hailey Beard of Horn Lake, MS, William Beard of Southaven, MS, and Christopher Manns of Senatobia, MS; grandson, Jaime Jones of Southaven, MS; sisters, Ann Beard and Sandra McClain both of Memphis, TN; brothers, Shayne Beard of Fort Washington, MD, Jeremy Beard of Houston, TX, and Jody Bradshaw of Giddings, TX, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Shayne Beard, Jeremy Beard, Austin Beard, William Beard, Jody Bradshaw and Daniel Struve.
