Robert Stanley Swain "Stan"
1922-2014
Robert Stanley Swain "Stan", age 91, passed away July 11, 2014 in Boise, Idaho from causes incidental to old age. Born August 29, 1922 to Eli Swain and Ada Mortensen in Phoenix, Arizona. He married Felice Kartchner October 27, 1944 in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple.
He enjoyed serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and went on 6 missions with his wife Felice. His greatest love was teaching children. Stan is survived by his wife, Felice, his sons, Reed, Earl and Terry and his daughters, Jolyn and Nancy, his 14 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held this coming Monday, July 14, 2014 at 12 noon in the LDS Chapel at 2299 N. Five Mile Road. The viewings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday night at Bowman Funeral 5525 N Glenwood St. in Garden City and Monday at the church prior to the service at 10:30 a.m. A private committal will be at the Idaho Veterans Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Humanitarian Aid Fund at LDS Philanthropies.
