Ernest E. Lindley,. son of Ulysses and Amelia Horton Lindley, was born April 19, 1897 in Jones County, Iowa and passed away November 6, 1954 at his farm home near Wauzeka at the ago of 57 years, 6 months, and 18 days. His early life was spent in Iowa, coming to Richland County, Wisconsin at the age of I7 years. He was united in marriage to Marie Tyler of Richland Center On November 20, 1923. To this union was born 6 children, James and Gene at home, Jessie in the Armed Forces in California, Mrs. Harold (Lillie) Lewis of Edgerton, Wis., Mrs. Byron (Doris) Miller, Boscobel, Mrs. Lloyd (Ardith) Lindelien, also of Boscobel; 7 grandchildren: 2 sisters Mary Shaffer of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Lee (Francelia) Hurwell of Bay City, Texas; 2 brothers, James of Dahlen, North Dakota, and Frank of Kenosha, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Almost his entire life was engaged in farming in Richland and Crawford County, Wisconsin. Ern, as he was known by his friends, will be greatly, missed by all who knew him.
May he rest in peace and the Eternal Light shine upon his soul.
Funeral services were held at St. John's Lutheran Church on Wednesday November 10 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. F. W. Landdeck officiating. Interment was in Boscobel Cemetery.
