She was born on February 15, 1919 in Alliance, Ohio to Joseph and Isolina (Montanaro) DeGirolamo and lived in Alliance for all of her life.
Evelyn was a 1938 graduate of Alliance High School and had been a seamstress and bookkeeper for the retail industry.
Throughout her life, she had been a member of both St. Joseph Catholic Church & Regina Coeli Catholic Church; and had been a member of the Altar & Rosary Society.
She devoted much of her time to caring for her family. Survivors include her two daughters, Linda (Chris) Chiodo of Boynton Beach, FL and Janice (Jeff) Polen of Hartville, OH; daughter-in-law, Beth Brown of Alliance, OH; seven grandchildren, Natalie Maloney of Boynton Beach, FL, Chris Chiodo of Boynton Beach, FL, Kimberly Tate of Miami, FL, Nick Brienza of Seattle, WA, Zach Polen of New Orleans, LA, Alex Polen of Hartville, OH, Joey Polen of Hartville, OH; sister, Jean Fasone of Alliance, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Brienza, whom she married on July 5, 1947 and died on May 31, 1961; a son, Thomas Brienza; her parents; two sisters, Edith DeGirolamo and Sadie Caiazza; and three brothers, Michael DeGirolamo, Anthony DeGirolamo and Albert DeGirolamo.
Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
