MICHAEL SCHIMMEL
Michael Schimmel, 89, a lifelong resident of the Town of Two Rivers and a resident of Rt.2, Two Rivers, for the past 70 years, died early Thursday night at the Holy Family Hospital at Manitowoc, where he had been a patient for ten days. He had been ill since August.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Klein & Stangel Inc. Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mr. Schimmel was born in the Town of Two Rivers on Dec. 23, 1865, a son of the late Nicolas and Catherine Schimmel. On Jan. 16, 1894 he married Anna Petrie at Mishicot, who died in 1946. He had been living with his daughter on the farm which he acquired 70 years ago.
Besides the daughter he leaves a son, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Friday where the Rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m. Friday.
