Bonnie Jean Murphy of Lakeland died of a heart attack Friday (March 26, 2004). She was 77.
Born in Bluffton, Ohio, she came to Lakeland from Bloomington, Illinois, in 1992. She was a retired cosmetologist.
Mrs. Murphy was a life member of the Brokaw Service Auxiliary, a member of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 50, the McLean County County Home Extension, the AARP and served as a door staff member for the American Passion Play for 20 years. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church in Bloomington.
Mrs. Murphy is survived by her husband, Frank W. Murphy her son, Anthony, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Dee Dee, preceded her in death.
