Charles E. Allen, 72, of 1528 N. 23rd St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, May 2 at the residence.
Private family services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. David Passet will officiate and burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
Mr. Allen was born Feb. 24, 1910, at Manitowoc, son of the late Charles and Mabel Houghton Allen Sr. He married Dorothy R. Chaplesky, April 19, 1940, at Manitowoc. Mr. Allen was employed at Invincible Metal Furniture Company, Manitowoc, for over 30 years, retiring in 1976.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; a son and daughter-in-law, John and JoAnn Allen of Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Melvin Kohller (sic) of Sheboygan; two sisters, Mrs. George (Marie) Kadow of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Orville (Dorothy) Eichmann of New Berlin, Wis.; five grandchildren, Lorna, Pam, Brett, Greg and Daniel, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Roy Allen, a brother, Paul, and a sister, Geneva.
Private family visitation will be from 8 o'clock to 8 o'clock this Monday evening.
