Obituary Notice =======>>>>

Thomas Milton Simpson, of Glenshaw, Allegheny county, Pa., passed from life at 2:30 Sunday, Nov. 13, 1910. He served three years In Company B, 10th Pennsylvania Reserves, and one year in Company H, 77th Pennsylvania Volunteers. He participated in the Battles of Bull Run, Antietam, Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, Culpepper, Seven Days, Battle of the Wilderness, and all the other Battles that the famous 10th Regiment was engaged in, including the three days Battle of Gettysburg.

Mr. Simpson attended the Reunion at Gettysburg this Fall, and contracted typhoid fever there, which caused his death, after turning to pneumonia. He put up a wonderful fight, living a week after the doctors said he could hardly live an hour.

The deceased was a good soldier, a pleasant companion, and a true friend. Many a knapsack he carried for a tired soldier on a long, weary march, as he was a Hercules in endurance, as well as a brave soldier. He passed the 68th Milestone of Life last July.

Mr. Simpson was twice married, his first wife dying in 1878. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, five sons and seven daughters. Of six brothers, one died in infancy, and the elder brother, James, died in July, two years ago, aged 82 years. His living brothers are William Simpson, of Ray street, Shedrack Simpson, of Cunningham Lane, and B. A. Simpson, of Epworth Street, this city.
