Maxine M. Hodson, 80, of West Unity passed away early Friday morning at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan. She was born on May 22, 1934 in Edgerton, Ohio to Carl E. and Wilma L. (Deal) Stambaugh. After graduating from Montpelier High School in 1952, Maxine married Jame R. Hodson. Following James service in the military they returned back to Williams County.

Maxine worked as a head inspector for Strydel Incorporated in Stryker from 1965-1999. She enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Tim (Renee) Hodson of West Unity; three daughters, Tammy Semer of Erie, Pennsylvania, Shelley (Keith) Stark of Edgerton and Lisa (Billy) Haynes of Alvordton; nine grandchildren, Melanie Hodson, Kacie Hodson, Nathan Stark, Jenna Stark, Joseph Haynes, Joshua Haynes, Jasmine Haynes, Brian Semer and Shawn Semer; and several great grandchildren.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation for Maxine will be on Monday June 2nd from 5-8pm at Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. Services will be on Tuesday at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Gruetter to officiate. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Donations may be made to Donor's Choice.
