Proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Lawrence R. Adams, 71, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 at University Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Visitation will be Monday, July 14 5pm-8pm and Tuesday, July 15 from 1pm until the 2pm service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram.

Interment will follow at Lakewood South in Jackson.

Larry was a lifelong resident of Jackson where he attended Raymond Road Baptist Church. He was a member of the John P. Byrd Masonic Lodge of Pearl, a Master Mason, retired from Yellow Freight and an executive board member of the Teamsters Union Local 891 for over 20 years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served overseas in Guam. He was also an avid fisherman.

He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Adams, two brothers and one sister.

He is survived by sons Danny (Shelia) Adams of Pearl, Randy Adams and Kathy Young of Pearl; brother Joe (Betty Sue) Adams of Madison; stepchildren Charla Bobbitt and Judson Wallace; grandchildren Amanda Adams, Brittany Adams, Chelsea Adams, Jordan Scott and Conner Enriquez; 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
