Robert H. "Bob" Adamson
September 17, 1926 – July 12, 2014

Robert H. "Bob" Adamson, 87, of Bedford, died at 2:10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, at I. U. Hospice House, Bloomington.

Born September 17, 1926, in Fayetteville, IN, he was the son of Noble R. Adamson and Viola (Smith) Adamson.
He married Dorothy Jane Wray on April 17, 1949 and she survives.

Bob was a graduate of Fayetteville High School, Class of 1944 and received his Bachelor of Education from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Bob was owner of the Adamson Agency Insurance, Bedford, and had previously managed the Bedford License Branch, 1953-1956. He had worked 32 years in in public service as Law. Co. Auditor, four terms; Law. Co. School Board, two terms; Law. Co. Commissioner, including President of the Commissioners; Law. Co. Council and the Dunn Hospital Board of Directors.

Bob is a member of Central Church of Christ, Bedford, where he served as a song leader. He also sang at many weddings and funerals over the years. He was a member of Bedford Lions Club and is a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Adamson, Bedford; four daughters, Cassie Gould, Greenwood; Susan (Jim) Silver, Ft. Wayne; Deborah (Rick) Robbins, Winter Garden, FL; and Evalyn (David) Walton, Clay City; seven grandchildren, Carrie Gould, Matt (Ashley) Gould, Megan Robbins, Bryana (Derrick) Rodgers, Daniel Walton, Hannah Walton and Benjamin Silver; six great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Oral, Roy, Paul and Thomas Adamson;two sisters, Annabelle Spinks and Elsie Loveall and one son-in-law, Mike Gould.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, Bedford, with Bro. Rick Leach. Entombment will be in Cresthaven Mausoleum.
Friends may call on Tuesday, 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
