Mr. Buddin died Saturday, July 21, 2001. Born in Turbeville, he was a son of the late Charlie Stokes and Rosa Corrine Evans Buddin. Formerly of Charleston, he was a local resident since 1955 and was a member of Cayce United Methodist Church. Mr. Buddin was a veteran of World War II and served as a Quartermaster on LCT184 and LST1077. He attended USC and was a member of McBride Brotherhood. Mr. Buddin retired in 1982 after having 30 years of service with Greyhound Bus Lines. He was a former member of the Country Club of Lexington, Southern Greyhound Invitational, Gray Ways Invitational, and Greyhound Invitational Golf Classic. Mr. Buddin was a member of the AF of L-CIO and the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1493.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Alma Morris, Ophelia Turbeville, Rounette Carmon, Ida Lee Floyd, and brothers, Harold and Earl Buddin.
