Peter J. Staudt, Jr., age 74, of 1923 14th St., Two Rivers, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005 at his residence.

Peter was born April 19, 1930 in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late Peter M. Sr. and Helen (Bartelme) Staudt. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Grade School and Woodrow Wilson Jr. High School, Manitowoc. He furthered his education with The Ford Motor Company School in Detroit, Michigan. On June 14, 1952 he married the former Marion Nocker at St. Mark Catholic Church in Two Rivers. The couple celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on June 14, 2002 Peter owned and operated Staudt Small Engine since 1953. He was also employed at Hamilton Mfg. Co. from 1950 until 1970 and at Mirro Aluminum from 1970 until his retirement in 1992. Peter was actively involved at St. Mark Catholic Church as an usher, St. Mark/St. Luke Athletic Association, St. Mark Holy Name Society and the Catholic Men's Club. He was a member of the 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Two Rivers and Fraternal Order of Eagles 706 of Manitowoc.

Survivors include his wife: Marion Staudt, Two Rivers; one son: Michael Staudt, Two Rivers; one daughter and son-in-law: Kathleen and Louis Gadzinski, Kaukauna; two grandchildren: Jennifer and Craig Gadzinski; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Elizabeth Menchl, rural Mishicot; Carolina and William X. Blashka, Manitowoc. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by one brother-in-law; Victor Menchl.

Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. will be the Rev. William O'Brien with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers, at a later date. The family will greet relatives and friends from 4 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005 (TONIGHT) at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers. A Prayer Service will be held at 5:30 pm led by Fr. Bill.
