On July 9, 2014 an angel of the Lord called our beloved, Michael R. Biggs ("Duke") from this world of care to a place of rest and peace.

Michael was born to the proud parents of Alonzo Biggs and Inez Vines in Norfolk, Virginia on November 11, 1959. He is a graduate of Norview High School. Immediately, after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army.

Michael "Duke" was admired by many for this love, generosity, and compassion to help others. He touched the lives of many. We thank God for the years on earth that he had with us. A jewel in our lives is now missing, but our loving memories of him will bring us peace and joy always. He is predeceased by two sisters, Joyce Hyman and Susie Biggs; and two brothers, Jeffrey Biggs and Michael King. Cherishing his fondest memories are his wife Chiffron Biggs of Portsmouth, VA; two step-daughters Lafonda Corprew and Ladayasia Corprew; four brothers, Alonzo Vines (Cennia) of Norfolk, VA; Stuart Biggs of Newport News, VA; Ronald Vines of CA; Robert Horton Of Wilson, NC; five sisters, Rachel Biggs of Norfolk, VA; Debora Biggs-Solomon of Portsmouth, VA; Terry Brown (Bobby) of Greenbelt, MD; Felicia Biggs of Norfolk, VA; Rita Mae Bulter of Philadelphia, PA; three brothers-in-law Lamont White, Ormond Spencer, and Gary Hyman; mother-in-law Dorothy Spencer; Godchildren - Sa'sha Pettitt and Ronald Hicks, and a very special friend, Maggie Hicks, along with a host of family and friends.
