Mrs. Mary Swejkar, 86, a resident of Two Rivers for more than 50 years, died suddenly at her home, 1107 Harbor street, at 1:30 this morning. She had been in good health an was up and about Sunday.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30 from the Jansky funeral home and at 9 o'clock from St. Luke's Catholic church. The Very Rev. Dean C. V. Hugo will officiate and burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery. The body may be viewed at the Jansky funeral home this evening and until the time of the services.
Mrs. Swejkar, nee Mary Pivo, was born in Bohemia on July 4, 1857 and when a young woman came to this country and made her home at Manitowoc for a few years. She married Wenzel Swejkar in 1882 and the couple made their home in Two Rivers. He died in 1907.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. L. C. Hawkins, Whitelaw, Mrs. Anna Brown, Chicago, and Mrs. Frank Wright of Detroit, Michigan; three sons, Emil and Frank of Two Rivers and Adolph of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Ambrose of Alpha, Minnesota and Miss Theresa Pivo of Jackson, Minnesota; and one brother, the R. Rev. Monsignor John Pivo of Jackson, Minnesota. Eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
