RAYMOND G. WACHOWSKI

Raymond G. Wachowski, 45, of 1311 Madison St., Two Rivers, operator of Sport Bar at the same address and a Navy overseas veteran of World War II, died Wednesday at home after a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Klein and Stangel Inc. Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. R. Thomas Peeters officiating. Graveside military services will be conducted at Holy Cross Cemetery by Robert E. Burns Post 165, American Legion.

Mr. Wachowski was born at Two Rivers Sept. 19, 1924, son of the late Anton and Anne Zywicky Wachowski. He etered World War II and served with the Navy in the Pacific. For the past five years he had operated the Sport Bar. He had been active in softball at Two Rivers for many years. He was a member of Mother of Hope Council No. 1957, Knights of Columbus; Robert E. Burns Legion Post; Eleven Gold Star Post 1248, Veterans of Foreign Wars; Two Rivers Aerie of Eagles and the Manitowoc County Tavern League.

Besides his wife, the former Margaret Jacquette, whom he married at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, Nov. 10, 1951, he leaves two daughters, Ann and Marjean, and three sons, Gerald, Mark and Scott, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Erwin Zimmer, Mrs. Hugh Schroeder and Mrs. Francis Rocheleau, of Two Rivers and Mrs. Emil Bonk, of Manitowoc, and six brothers, Joseph, Lloyd, Robert, Arnold and Harry, of Two Rivers, and Edward, of California.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday where the parish and the Knights of Columbus Council will combine in memorial services at 8 p.m. At 7:30 p.m. the Legion post membership will meet at the funeral home.
