William F. Gaffney, Owned Tackle Shop in Pembroke
PEMBROKE - William F. Gaffney, 67, of 3 Columbia Road, died Saturday at the Cardinal Cushing Hospital, Brockton, after a short illness.
Born in Rockland, he lived there until moving to Pembroke 13 years ago.
A former self-employed mason, he was currently the owner of the North River Fishing and Tackle Shop in Pembroke.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louise (Murphy) Gaffney; three sons, William F. Gaffney Jr. of Pembroke, Glenn A. Gaffney of Marshfield and Charles P. Gaffney of West Bridgewater; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Kenniston of Hanson and Mrs. Mary Ramirez of San Gabriel, Calif.; a brother, Joseph H. Gaffney of Monument Brach; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Farina of Holbrook, Mrs. Helen Hayes of Weymouth and Mrs. Dorothy Bailey of Hollywood, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 AM tomorrow in Holy Family Church, Rockland. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland.
